Obituary of Eleanor Cavanagh-Buck

Cavanagh-Buck, Eleanor (nee Styles) May 2, 1925– May 30. 2013 Passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital Civic Campus with her family present on May 30, 2013. Eleanor was 88 years old and had been a resident at the Arnprior Villa for 6 years until her recent hospitalization. She was the daughter of Alma (Quakenbush) and Harold Styles. She was predeceased by her first husband, Norman Cavanagh, by her second husband, Fred Buck, and by her brother, Lester Styles. She is survived by her sister, Joanna Styles of Winnipeg. She will be sadly missed by her children, Gail Neil, Gary (Jo-Anne), Brian (Joanne) and Gordon (Brenda) Cavanagh; by her grandchildren, Glenn Neil, Carol Hanson, and Scott Neil, Erin Hamilton, Julie Meilke and Steven Cavanagh, and Colleen Cavanagh, Shawna Acres, and Graham Cavanagh, as well as by her 18 great-grandchildren. She will also be dearly remembered by her close friend, Harry Powell. She was a loved step-mother, step-grandmother and great-grandmother to Betty (Pat) Dukes, Barbara (Ken) Paul, Mary (Tom) McEwen, Jim (Julie) Buck, Valerie O'Leary, Vera Buck, and Dorothy (Jon deceased) Carroll, and their children and grandchildren. Eleanor will be celebrated in a family memorial service to take place at a later date. In memoriams to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
