Jean Eleanor Moorhead passed away to be with The Lord in the Grove Nursing Home, Arnprior on Wednesday afternoon April 6, 2011 at the age of 92 years. Jean Sword, loving wife of the late Athol Moorhead (1996). Dearly loved mother of Donna and Robert Meek, Ed and Gail Moorhead and Tom and Bev Moorhead. Devoted grandma to Devon Mallory, Derek Luther Mallory, Clare Moorhead and Liam Moorhead. Dear sister of Tom Sword (late Rita) of Cookstown and Roberta (Bobbie ) Stevenson (late Elmor) of Arnprior. Jean was predeceased by her sisters Helen (late Tom) Graves, Hazel (late George) Deans, Agnes Sword and Lillian (late Ron) Dobson and by all Athols siblings and their spouses. She is fondly remembered by 23 nieces and nephews and by Allison and Allan Meek of Ottawa. Jean was an artist, a farmers wife in Clay Bank for over 50 years and a survivor of the 1942 Almonte Train Wreck.

A service of remembrance will be held in Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church, 116 Baskin Drive W., Arnprior on Saturday April 9, 2011 at 2: p.m. with Pastor Clark Young officiating.
Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery.
