On December 17, 2010 our littlest angel, Mom, Nanny and dear friend went peacefully into the arms of our Lord. Born November 1, 1920 in Millertown Nfld., Ruth left her beloved island when she married George Shideler and immigrated to the US, his homeland. After years of Adventure together, they settled in Arnprior, her treasured home for 41 years. Predeceased by George in 2000, she is survived by her children Patricia (Bert) ,John (Suzanne), Betty and Janet (Ray). She will be especially missed by her grandchildren Cathy (Matt), Trish (Will), Robert, Greg (Jen), Geoff and Corey and by her great grandchildren Ella, Brandon, Johnny, Dylan, Charlotte, Geneva Ruth and Adelaide.
Visitations at The Boyce Chapel, Visitation, and Reception Centre
138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior
On Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service will be held in Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior on Tuesday December 21, 2010 at 1: p.m. with Canon Roger Young officiating.
Interment of cremated remains later in Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers please feel free to give to the charity of your choice, Emmanuel Anglican Church or the Arnprior Humane Society.
