Obituary of Evan Thomas Evans

Evans, Evan Thomas (Tom) November 30, 1921—August 9, 2010 Veteran WW 11 British Army 1937-1951 Grenadier Guards, Retired W/O Canadian Armed Forces Military Police. With family by his side, Dad slipped peacefully away following a valiant struggle with prostate cancer in Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital. He leaves to mourn his wife and loving companion for 66 years, Irene Wilkinson; his loving and devoted children David of Abbotsford B.C. and Lesley (Leo Lapierre) of Arnprior, grandson Blain (Tracey) of Frankford Ontario, 2 loving great grand daughters Taylor and Mackenzie Lapierre. Predeceased by parents David and May Evans; sisters Alice, Violet, Gwen and brother David. Survived by sisters May, Olive and Rosemarie of Maple Ridge B.C. and Sylvia in England. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews in Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland and Australia. Resting at The Boyce Funeral Home Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre 138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior where friends may pay their respects on Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in The Boyce Chapel Thursday August 12, 2010 at 11: a.m. with Rev Katherine Otley officiating. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. In memoriams to “Partners in Caring” of Arnprior Hospital or the charity of one’s choice would be appreciated by his family. Royal Canadian Legion Arnprior Branch # 174 to gather for service Wednesday evening at 6: 45 p.m. Condolences / Donations at www.boycefuneralhome.ca
