Grand, John Harold April 22, 1923—August 19, 2009 peacefully in his home, August 19, 2009 at the age of 86. Predeceased by his siblings Veronica (Garard Charbonneau), Lloyd (Rthel), Leo (Marcelle) and Melville (Hugette). Dear uncle to Audrey, Bill, Cathy, Diane, John, Marilyn and Ronald. He served proudly in the RCAF during WW 11 as a navigator with the 436th Squadron “Canucks Unlimited” . He flew 200 sorties, suppling the Allied ground forces in the China-Burma-India (CBI) theatre of operations. After the war he was employed with the Department of Energy, Mines and Resources for many years. Upon his retirement he moved near Pakenham where he enjoyed the remainder of his years in the company of the dear friends he made there Resting at The Boyce Funeral Home Ltd Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre 138 Daniel Street N. Arnprior Family and friends may pay their respects on Sunday August 23, 2009 between 2pm and 5 pm. A Word of The Liturgy service will follow immediately. A private interment service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Condolences / Donations at www.boycefuneralhome.ca
