Dickson, Allan Keith March 10, 1919—March 8, 2008 “Kinburn Sandman” Madawaska Lodge # 196 A.F. & A.M. Passed away peacefully in Fairview Manor, Almonte on Saturday March 8, 2008, 2 days prior to his 89th birthday Beloved husband of May (Mary McGaw) Dear father of Linda (Ron Binette) and Sheila (Norm Black) and loving and proud grandfather of Gregory, Sarah and Jeffrey Black Predeceased by his parents Harold and Ruby Dickson and his infant brother Donald Allan was a farmer, lifelong church and community worker, hockey coach, school board trustee and gravel pit operator He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather, neigbour and friend. Allan was known to many as a member of the Renfrew County fiddlers and through his private museum collections. He loved his 41 years as a drummer, had great fun as a licensed auctioneer and took pride in welcoming visitors to his beloved home and farm. The family sincerely thanks the caring staff at Fairview Manor and all those who continued to visit and keep in touch with Dad Resting at Boyce Funeral Home Ltd.
