Ken (sandy) McNab was born in White Lake Ontario,May, 7 1919 and died peacefully at home in Arnprior on Tuesday March 27, 2007 at the age of 87 years
He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of more than 62 years, Alma (nee Fumerton)
and his proud sons Bill (Anita) of Dowling Ontario and Randy (fiancée Janine Stokes) of Hanmer Ontario
Much loved grandfather of David, Jeff and Crystal McNab and Natalie (Pat) Suriano and step grandfather of Dione (Marc) Berthiaume
Great grandfather of Caelen McNab and Dominic Suriano and step great grandfather of Julien and Miguel Berthiaume
Predeceased by his parents Andrew and Myrtle McNab, brother Allan (Florence) and sister Marion (Bernard) McEwen. Survived by sisters Morna (Melvin) McEwen, Berna (Lorne) Barrie, Fern (Edward) Stewart and brother Andrew (Donna) McNab and many cousins, nieces, nephews and in laws
He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know him
Captain McNab was a career army officer with the Canadian Armed Forces and a long time instructor with Emergency Planning Canada at The Civil Defence College in Arnprior
He was a life member and past president of the Arnprior Curling Club
Life member of Madawaska Lodge #196 A.M. & A.F.
Past president of Arnprior Royal Canadian Legion
Past treasurer and active member of the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital Auxiliary
Long time member of the Arnprior Golf Club
Long time volunteer driver with Home Support and active volunteer with many community endeavours
