Kathy passed away peacefully on Monday October 30, 2006 in Arnprior Hospital after a long, courageous and sometimes silent battle with cancer
She will be dearly missed by her husband, Jim,
son, Jeffery (Sarah),
daughter, Eleanor (Greg) Townley,
grandsons, Mason and Cory,
sister, Lois (Don) Nichols,
several nieces and nephews and many friends and relatives
She was predeceased by her father and mother, Craig and Thelma Coe
and sister, Eleanor Armstrong
Kathy will be remembered for her loving and endearing ways, her adventurous spirit, her courage and determination and her ready smile
Kathys constant optimism and strength touched and inspired her family, friends and all those who knew her
She valued her family, and Whitlock Farm above all else
Kathy was a strong supporter of St. Georges Anglican Church, a director of The Fitzroy Historical Society, a member of the Lorne Sutherland Womens Institute and the Arnprior Region Federation of Agriculture
She worked at Agriculture Canada in Ottawa for twenty one years and also acted as administrator of The West Carleton Seniors Residence for eighteen years
Sincere thanks to the doctors and staff of Renfrew Victoria Hospital and Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, Dr Powell, Dr Young, Dr Boersma. Katherine Willow, Donna Young, Eve Yantha and Ola Armstrong for their help in this long struggle. Not to be forgotten are the many relatives, friends and neighbours who visited, brought food and flowers and stayed with Kathy during this difficult time
