(Retired – Ontario Hydro)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of John Arthur “Jack” Bradley on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, at the age of 86. Jack was the beloved husband of 66 years and high school sweetheart to Sarah “Sally” Bradley (nee McMullin). A dedicated and proud father to John (Kelly), Julie, and Katherine Leckie (Kevin). His legacy extends to his cherished grandchildren: Krista, Erin (Adam), Ashleigh (Derek), Meghan (Brian), Alexandra (Mike), Melissa, Taylor (Kris), and Jacob (Laura). Jack was an adored great-grandfather to Carter, Abby, Logan, Declan, Mya, Eli, Caiden, Jackson, Avery, Kory, and Tommy. Jack is survived by his dear sister Audrey Albert of Toronto. He is predeceased by his sister Lorraine Greening, and brothers Leonard Bradley and Gordon Bradley (late Dawn). Jack will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. He was the son of the late John Arthur Bradley and Estelle Marie Pellitier. Jack's life was marked by service, dedication, and an extraordinary zest for life. He served in the Royal Canadian Air Force and dedicated 35 years to Ontario Hydro where he held a supervisory role. He was actively engaged in his community as a member of the Arnprior Chamber of Commerce, the Arnprior Legion Branch #174, the Lions Club, and the Madawaska Masonic Lodge. A larger-than-life figure, he exuded warmth and kindness that earned him a special place in the hearts of those who knew him. His infectious spirit and genuine compassion were evident in every aspect of his life. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Dr. DeJoode, Dr. Becker, Dr. Fannon, and the 2nd floor nursing staff of the Arnprior Hospital, especially Melanie and Stephanie. Jack’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.  A service to celebrate Jack's life will be held on Saturday April, 13, 2024 at the Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are also invited to a reception following the service at the John A. Gillies Recreation Centre,138 Sarah St. E., Braeside. In memory of Jack, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or to the Make a Wish Foundation.
