Obituary of Norma Goddard

With heavy hearts we announce that Norma Jean Goddard passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital with her daughters by her side in the early morning hours of October 7, 2023 at the age of 86. Beloved wife of the late Leslie Elsworth Goddard (2016). Loving mother of daughters Carol Neill (Peter) and Dale Larkin (Joe). Cherished grandmother of Erin (Sean), Megan (Josh), Laura (Mack), Andrew (Grace) and Katie (Brad) and great-grandmother of Evan, Mya, Lenora, Miriam, Adelia, Emmit, Gwen, Luna, Sadie, Lyall, Danny and Emerson. Dear sister of Gordon (Nellie), Margaret, Neil (late Rolly), Bob, Duncan (Sue), and Ian (late Darlene). Predeceased by parents Hartley and Helen (Dingwall) MacCrimmon and sister Beth (late Allan). Norma will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Norma graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal and later went on to work at the Arnprior Hospital. Actively involved in her community, Norma was a proud member of the Lionettes, where she dedicated her time and energy to various charitable endeavors. Her selflessness and dedication to helping others were hallmarks of her character. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and had an uncanny ability to make everyone around her feel loved and valued. Norma was a beacon of love and light, and her memory will forever live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her. Visitation will be held at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior Tuesday October 10, 2023 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Wednesday morning. The funeral service will be held Wednesday October 11, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Boyce Chapel with reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. Interment Flat Rapids Cemetery, McNab-Braeside.
