Obituary of Gladys Buder

(nee Krieger)

June 3, 1924 – August 28, 2023

Gladys Pearl Buder (nee Krieger), our family pillar and matriarch, passed away peacefully at the Arnprior District Memorial Hospital on Monday August 28, 2023, at the blessed age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Gerald Buder (June 7, 2013) and loving mother of Cheryl Supple of Braeside, Carolyn Allen (Des) of Stittsville and Phillip Buder of Brampton. Cherished grandmother of Sara (Jonathan), Catherine (Raymond), Ryan (Amanda), Mark (Jen), Hannah (Grant), Tonja (Mark) and Ruth (Oren) and great-grandmother of Wren, Robin, Bennett, Charlie, Harrison, Ivy and Berlin. Dear sister of Darlene McLelland (Gary) of Toronto. Missed by her numerous nieces and nephews. Gladys was predeceased by her siblings Elmer (late Rosie), Cecil (late Marion), Lawrence (late Marilyn), Wilmer “Bill” (late Faye), Myrtle Ross (late Bing) and Barbara Friesen (late Paul). Daughter of the late Samuel and Sarah (Jessup) Krieger. With a spirit to serve, Gladys became a registered nurse, graduating from the Grace Hospital in Ottawa. She continued to contribute to every community she joined, generously sharing her time and skills. Talented and tireless in her creative pursuits, Gladys made beautiful clothing, china dolls and paintings, and countless delicious meals for her grateful family. Gladys’ arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitations will take place on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. A private family funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 2, 2023. In memory of Gladys, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
