Adrienne Elizabeth Smith

(nee Bowles)

October 31, 1925- August 9, 2023

(Longtime Resident of Galetta, Ontario, Former member of the Seniors 707 Club)

After a life well lived, it is with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and friend to many, Adrienne Elizabeth Smith (nee Bowles) passed away peacefully at the Arnprior Villa, Wednesday morning, August 9, 2023. She gracefully reached the age of 97; a life filled with vivacity, wisdom, and immeasurable love. Beloved wife of the late Ken Smith (2004). Proud and loving mother of Eldon Smith (Cathy 2) and wonderful Nanny to Jim (Theresa), Bob (Amanda) and Lisa. Cherished Great-Nanny of Madeline and Maxen. Predeceased by son William “Bill” Smith, sister Elsie Egan (late Lawrence), brother Howard French (late Lil) and daughter-in-law Cathy Smith. Missed by nieces and nephews. Adrienne was born in Montreal, Quebec to her late parents William and Mary Jane (French) Bowles. Adrienne was happy to have recently attended the town of Galetta’s 150th Anniversary Celebration. Visitations will take place at the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd, 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior, Monday August 14, 2023 from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of funeral service in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. In memory of Adrienne, a donation may be made to the Arnprior and District Humane Society.
