(Evenson Heating, Arnprior) It is with great sadness the family announces that Kenneth (Ken) Evenson passed away just after lunch at the Bonnechere Manor in Renfrew, Monday September 20, 2021 at the age of 93. Predeceased by his beloved wife Jean Evenson (Bretzlaff) (February 16, 2013). Loving father of son Dale and much loved daughter-in-law Joyce. Cherished and much loved grandfather of Kristin Gibeau (Myles Doherty) and Lindsey Gibeau-Kingsley (Wayde). Great grandfather of Jaxson and Ford Kingsley and Henderson Doherty. Predeceased by all of his siblings Doris, (late Cliff), Vivian (late Murray), Ray, Edna (late Rocky) and Joyce (late John). Survived by many nieces and nephews, brothers-in-law, and sisters-in-law. Ken was born and raised in Archerwill, Saskatchewan and later moved to Ottawa to begin his trade in heating and sheet metal. In 1970 Ken became founder and owner of Evenson Heating on Madawaska Boulevard in Arnprior until his retirement in 1996. When son Dale took over the family business Ken was never far away. Ken loved the outdoors; trout fishing was number 1 on his list. He enjoyed weekends at “The Lodge” in Quebec. Curling, Horseshoes, Golf, and Ball were his greatest passions. A special thank you to the Bonnechere Manor for their excellent care. Ken’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitations will be held Thursday September 23, 2021 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Friday.
