Cornfoot, Nathan “Nat” August 30, 1925– August 5, 2011 After a life filled with love and laughter, Nat passed away peacefully at his daughter’s home in Arnprior at the age of 85. Born in Dundee, Scotland, the family immigrated to Toronto in 1955 and moved to Arnprior in 1987 when he retired from the Weather Services at Toronto International Airport. He quickly fell in love with his new hometown and its friendly people and embraced small town life. He made many friends through his activities at the Curling Club, Legion Seniors’ group, McDonald’s Coffee Klatch and holiday trips and his sense of humour made him a welcome addition to any group. Nat was predeceased by his adored wife Isobel in 1990 and his beloved son John in 1961 at the age of 16. Left with broken hearts are his daughter and son in law Lynda and Archie Jordan, his much loved grandchildren Scott and Amber, Steven and Carrie, Shannyn and Chris Garey. Proud Papa-Nat to great grandchildren Curtis Jordan, Emily Jordan, Cole Struck, Madison Vujasic-Jordan, Anthony and Steven Matinlassi, Richard Olsson and Tyler, Kayla and Kyle Garey. He will also be missed by his special sister-in-law Freda (Ken) Inglis, Ewan, David and Janet Inglis and their daughters Mikayla and Nicole, as well as Jillian and Barrie McEwan. Visitations at The Boyce Funeral Home Ltd 138 Daniel St. N. Arnprior on Monday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the Boyce Chapel Tuesday August 9, 2011 at 11: a.m. followed by a luncheon in The Boyce Reception Centre.
