When we speak of Maynard and his passing, as people will do, the first thing people say every time is that he was such a good man. We all agree on that. He was a kind sole, always had a smile and something good to say when you met him. Maynard and Aunt Betty were a perfect couple together and we know she will miss him dearly. Our deepest condolences to Aunt Betty, Nancy and Gilbert, Mike and Leanne, Chistine and Tony and Julie and Mike and the grandkids. We will miss our visits to the river and we wish you all the best. A good and gentle man; caring husband to Betty, devoted father to my dear friend, Nancy, beloved grandfather to my god daughter, Kim.,,, and most of all a caring and generous friend to to all. His legacy is not loud but soft, gentle and enduring as was the way he lived his life.To Betty, Nancy and Gilbert and Kim and Kevin and family, my deepest sympathy. To Nancy and Betty and all of the extended families. I’ve known Maynard all my life. Mostly as a kid growing up but also as an adult as he was a very good friend of my late dad Maurice Bertrand. Maynard was just down the bay several cottages from us. Us kids used to paddleboat or canoe down for a visit. I have such fond memories of him. He was just so kind and gentle. I’m so sorry for your loss. He was truly a gem.
