Obituary of Nora Stewart

Nora Stewart went to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus on Sunday May 10, 2026. She leaves behind her beloved soulmate and life partner of 36 years Silas Nicky Redd. She also leaves behind her amazing gifts from God her daughters Catherine, Kymberly and Christina Newhook and their spouses Gordon, Craig and Alex. She also leaves behind her dear brother Ralph, sister-in-law Dominica and her cherished nieces Stefania and Andrea. Missing her will be her much loved grandchildren William Sheepwash, Samantha, Sarada and Emma Newhook, Jake Macdonald and Hayley and Gillian Newhook and Julian Myers and Phoebe Newhook, also her 8 great grandsons.

Nora lived a long and blessed life, she spent her youth in Winnipeg and later moved to the Maritimes where her children were raised. She attended University of P.E.I. on a part time basis to earn a B.A and B.Ed. In later years she moved to Ottawa spending many happy years in the West Carleton area. She returned to her love of painting and became known for her heritage homes and rural landscapes. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends, enjoying Nature, gardening baking, music and pets. She loved helping people and “adopting” grandchildren and her foster children from World Vision.
