It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Roy Bretzlaff, on April 23, 2026, in his 86th year. We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to the nurses and the staff at the CAP.

Roy was passionate about his church where he spent decades playing the organ, keeping the books as treasurer and many church meals.
He started his career as a geography teacher in Ottawa where he had the opportunity to travel the world and experience culture. After 21 years, he came home to his first passion, farming.
Roy found pleasure in participating in various community events such as the Oktoberfest, Shawville Fair, church activities and local council where he established strong connections and made unforgettable friendships.
Roy was recognized as a smiling friendly face, always involved. He shared his love and time and the community has benefited from it. His passing leaves a void. Memories of Roy will forever be cherished. We have suffered a great loss but heaven has gained an angel.
