Phyllis Irene Douglas

(nee Cavanagh)

February 16, 1947 – April 10, 2026

With heavy hearts we announce that Phyllis passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital with her family by her side on Friday morning, April 10, 2026. Phyllis Douglas of Fitzroy Harbour at the age of 79 years.

Beloved wife of the late Jack Douglas (2007). Proud and loving mother of Christopher Douglas (Leighann). Cherished grandmother of Ethan, London and step-grandmother of Brady, Ryan, Cameron, Jordyn, Sadie, Paul and Elliot. Dear sister of Doreen (Jim), Delmer (Jane) and Gladys (Doug). Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Keith, Elwyn (Debbie) and sisters-in-law Margaret (late Bob), Eileen (late Eldon), Erin (Jack), Heather (Delmer) and Lorna (late Olin) and brother-in-law Oliver. Daughter of the late Arnold and Muriel (Tripp) Cavanagh.

Phyllis’ arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Fitzroy Community Centre, 100 Clifford Campbell Street, Fitzroy Harbour on Sunday April 19, 2026 from 12:00 - 4:00 p.m. Interment at Whyte’s Cemetery, Fitzroy Harbour at a later date.

In memory of Phyllis, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or to the Grove Long Term Care Facility, a part of the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation.
