Obituary of Margaret Bahm

Margaret Helen Bahm (nee Eastman)

October 20, 1938 – March 23, 2026

The family are saddened to announce the death of Margaret who passed away peacefully at Hospice Renfrew, after a brief illness, in her 88th year. Predeceased by Allan, her husband of 63 years. Beloved mother of Janet Michelson (late Steve) of Arnprior, Stephen Bahm (Shannon O’Meara) of London, and Laurie Jack (Todd) of Arnprior. Cherished grandmother of Dr. Allison Bahm (Sean Leathong), Adam Bahm (Lonna Shipman), Joshua Jack (Michaela Schreiter), Natalie Ryan (Karl), and step-grandmother of Kyla O’Meara-Ellis. Dear great-grandmother of Dean and Stanley Ryan, Abigail and Evelyn Leathong, Rayne Johnson and Zionna Bahm Shipman, and step-great-grandmother of Liam, Launa, Tallia, Alyia and Quinlyn Ellis. Predeceased by her parents Dave and Lila (nee Shaw) Eastman and brothers Nelson and Glenn (late Libbie). Sister of Erma Stewart, Lois Merriman (Mark), and Vera Wiseman (late Ted). Margaret provided loving childcare to numerous children for 15 years, before returning to Algonquin College in middle age, and going on to retire in January 2004 from the Canadian Emergency Preparedness College after 23 years of service. Margaret’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel St., North, Arnprior. Visitation will be held Thursday March 26, 2026 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:30-8:30 p.m. and again Friday morning from 9:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. The service will be held by live webcast for those unable to attend. Spring Interment Sand Point Public Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Margaret may be made to Grace St. Andrew’s United Church where Margaret was an active member of the UCW, or Hospice Renfrew.
