George Matthew Lobin
December 1, 1942 – March 1, 2026
George passed away peacefully at the Grove Long Term Care, Arnprior, Sunday March 1st, 2026 with his daughter by his side at the age of 83. Beloved husband of the late Modestina Lobin (nee Dwarka) (Jan. 1945 – Oct. 2015). Loving father of Stacey Lobin (Robin) and Shannon Newlands (Joshua). Cherished grandfather of Ben, Serena and Gavin. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, his many nieces and nephews, and the wide circle of friends who were fortunate enough to know his quiet humour, steady wisdom, and generous spirit. Born in Trinidad to his late parents Harold and Theresa Lobin.
George had a true craftsman’s soul and had a great passion for woodworking. He also possessed a restless sense of adventure and loved to travel, always eager to discover new places, cultures, and experiences. In his final years, George’s heart remained full of gratitude for the life he had lived and the people he had loved.
George’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.
