It is with heavy hearts that we announce that Ray passed away unexpectedly at the farm on Saturday February 28, 2026 surrounded by his family at the age of 74. Beloved husband of the late Betty Ann Arthur (Campbell). Loving father of Lori Lacharity and best friend of Mick. Proud Papa of Kaleb and Kinsley. Dear brother of Maureen Kennedy (Dan) and Ruth Bowes (late Merle) and brother-in-law of Roslynn Renwick (late Steve), Norris Campbell (Sonya), Ray Campbell (Dianne) and Doug Campbell (Wendy). Ray will be missed by his nieces Christine, Alison, and Elizabeth “Lizzie” and many other nieces and nephews. Son of the late Donald and Lois (Currie) Arthur and son-in-law of Iva Campbell (late Ross).

Ray was a true farmer through and through. He loved the farm with all his heart and cherished his family even more. His passion for farming and every piece of equipment that came with it showed in everything he did. He kept a fine collection of tractors on display and could talk for hours about their makes, models, and all the little details that only a real tractor man would know. He will be missed by many friends and acquaintances that were lucky to have stopped and had a good chat with Ray over the years.

A special thank you to the Lanark County Paramedics and to the doctors, nurses, and staff at the Almonte Hospital for their kindness and professionalism.

Ray’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Visitation will be held Thursday March 5, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and after 9:30 a.m. Friday morning. The Funeral Service will be held Friday March 6, 2026 in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. Spring Interment Guthrie United Cemetery. In memory of Ray, a donation may be made to the Almonte General Hospital Foundation.
