Obituary of Sheila Bray
Sheila Elizabeth Bray
(nee Hogan)
June 11, 1945 – January 30, 2026
It is with heavy hearts that the family announces the peaceful passing of our beloved wife, mother, and grandmother Sheila Elizabeth Bray, who passed away on Friday, January 30, 2026, surrounded by family at the age of 80, at the Grove Long Term Care Home in Arnprior.
Sheila is survived by her beloved husband Andrew Bray. She is the loving and devoted mother to her three children: Andrew Bray, Cyndie Mosley (Derek) and Joseph Bray (Paisley). She holds a very special place in the hearts of her cherished grandchildren: Courtney, Hogan, Camryn, Tadhg, and Ronan, whom she adored with all her heart. She is predeceased by her dear brothers Lester Hogan and Terry Hogan (late Bernice). Survived by her beloved niece Shelley Montgomery (Colin).
Born in Montreal to her late parents Lester and Caroline (née McKewan) Hogan, Sheila grew up surrounded by family love and built her own rich family life rooted in faith, devotion, and determined spirit. She is predeceased by her dear mother-in-law Agnes (née Kennaway) Bray and her father-in-law Andrew Bray. Sheila will be forever remembered by her brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Steve and Donna Bray, Margaret Bray (late Bob) and Christine Bray. Survived by many nieces and nephews who will carry warm memories of her kindness and spirit.
Sheila’s deep commitment to the Catholic Women’s League (CWL) spanned 40 faithful years, bringing her profound joy and purpose through her active service and strong connection to her church community. A sharp-minded businesswoman with genuine entrepreneurial passion, she created meaningful success in her professional life. Her warmth, vibrant spirit, and steadfast devotion to family and faith will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
Sheila’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held Friday evening, February 13, 2026, from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and again on Saturday morning, February 14, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Braeside on Saturday, February 14, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., with spring inurnment at the Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery.
In memory of Sheila, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or the Dementia Society of Ottawa and Renfrew County.
