Barbara Alma Lovegrove (Baird)

December 24, 1931 – January 23, 2026

With sadness yet gratitude for a life well lived, the family announces that Barbara passed away peacefully at the Grove Long Term Care in Arnprior Friday January 23rd, 2026, having graced the world for 94 remarkable years.

Beloved wife of the late Ken Lovegrove (2024) and the late Stewart Baird (2007). Proud and loving mother of Dianna Greenidge (Geoffrey), Ritchie Baird (Margit) and Jennifer Torok (Lew). Cherished grandmother of Matthew (Amanda), Rebecca (Toomas), Rachel (Greg), Mark, Lisa (Mike), Alexander, Harrison and Avery. Barbara was also blessed to have 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her siblings, Hiram Ritchie, Isobel Greene (late Melville), Clarence Ritchie (late Frances) and her beloved four-year-old sister Marion. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Barbara was the dear daughter of the late Archibald and Jean (Findlay) Ritchie.

Barbara’s arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Boyce Funeral HomeLtd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Visitation will be held Saturday February 7th, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the Boyce Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with a reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. Interment Diamond United Cemetery, Kinburn.

In memory of Barbara, donations may be made to The Diamond United Cemetery, Kinburn, Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society.
