Bethune, Gordon Greer
March 10, 1930 -January 22, 2026
Gordon passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital Thursday morning January 22, 2026. Gordon was born, raised and lived in Braeside his entire life. Predeceased by his loving wife Marion Bethune (nee Smith). Much loved father of Robert Bethune (Bruce) of Toronto and Sharon (Rick) Cooke of Belleville. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer and Alison. Dear brother of Helen (John) Endicott of Ottawa.
With a passion for giving back to the community and helping others he was an honoured recipient of the United Way East Ontario Community Builder Award as well as a dedicated volunteer at the Neighbour Link Fountain.
Gordon’s arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior where visitation will be held Friday January 30, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will take place Saturday January 31, 2026 at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Arnprior at 11:00 a.m. Spring interment Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery.
