Shawn Patrick Rolfe
September 19, 1958 – December 12, 2025
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shawn Patrick Rolfe on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Bruyère Health Saint-Vincent Hospital in Ottawa. He was 67 years old. Beloved son of Anne Rolfe and the late John Patrick Rolfe, Shawn leaves behind a legacy of quiet strength and kindness. He is survived by spouse, Laurie, and her children, Kerri, Heather, Paula, and Olivia. As a dear brother, he will be deeply missed by Aaron (Lori), Albert (Patty), Anne-Marie (Rick), and Kathleen (James). Shawn was predeceased by his brother Kevin. Shawn’s memory will live on in the hearts of his nieces and nephews—Lindsay (Rob), Jeremy, Eric (Jessica), Curtis (Jannah), Michael, Clare, and Ben—as well as his great-niece and nephew, Indie and Rayland.
Shawn grew up in a lively family, bonding closely with his brothers as one of the boys—a true boy’s boy—while cherishing the presence of his sister, and simple adventures with heartfelt enthusiasm. He excelled on the ice as a hockey goalie, embodying the spirit of teamwork and resilience. Yet, beneath his robust exterior lay a kind-hearted gentle giant, one who preferred the solace of his own thoughts while remaining an integral part of the group. Professionally, Shawn dedicated his career to the Bank of Canada Record Management, where his meticulous nature shone through in his precise note-taking and impeccable organization, ensuring history was preserved with care and accuracy.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate angels—the doctors and nurses at Bruyère Health Saint-Vincent Hospital (Palliative Care Unit)—who provided exceptional care during Shawn’s final days.
Shawn’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Cremation will take place. Interment will take place at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery in the spring.
In memory of Shawn, a donation may be made to Bruyère Health Saint-Vincent Hospital (Palliative Care Unit).
