Gilbert Bryon Russett

January 31, 1941 – November 25, 2025

With the heart of a true farmer, Bryon, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Hospice Renfrew on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the age of 84. Born to farm, Bryon dedicated his life to dairy, beef, and cash crops, tending the land with passion and grit.

Beloved husband of Dorothy "Dot" Russett. Loving father of Cindy Russett of Arnprior and Lorrie Machan (Robert) of Mountain. Predeceased by infant son Stephen. Cherished grandfather of Nicholas Machan (Anastasia), Taylor Machan, Heidi Dykens (Brandon), and Jesse Dykens. Great-grandfather of Roman, Aurora, and Elliana Machan and Emma-Rose, Marcus, Brayden and Paige Dykens. Dear brother of James Russett (Rosalie) of Quadville, Iris Brown (late J.R.) of Renfrew, and Edith McElroy (late Winston) of Gatineau. Brother-in-law of Faye Vinet (late Ron), Irene Mosley (Ian), and Diane Penney (George). Predeceased by parents Robert and Dorothy (Neumann) Russett, stepmother Roma Russett, infant brother Norman, brother Robert Russett (late Annie), sister Jean Levi (late Wayne), nephew Wayne Russett, niece Dorothy Dubois and sister-in-law Nancy Wagner (late Richard). He will be missed by many loving nieces and nephews.

Bryon's arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Cremation to take place. Interment at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Bryon, donations to Hospice Renfrew, Renfrew Victoria Hospital Dialysis Unit or the University of Ottawa Heart Institute would be appreciated.
