September 28, 1932 – November 6, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Betty on Thursday November 6, 2025 at the Grove Long Term Care Home, Arnprior at the age of 93. Beloved wife of the late Lawrence Burton (1982). Loving mother of Lianne Ray (Larry). Predeceased by her son David (Lucy). Cherished grandmother of Sarah Ray (Dave Recoskie), Lisa Adam (Chad), Lawrence Burton and Mallory DeFazio (Paul) and great-grandmother of Logan, Mackenzie, Jaxson, Everly and Livia. Predeceased by brother David Fray and Helen Cassarin. Will be missed by her niece Linda and her nephews, George and Timmy. Daughter of the late Alfred and Ida (Lamb) Fray.

For more than 25 years, Betty faithfully handled bookkeeping and secretarial work at the Arnprior Medical Centre, old and new locations. She found great joy in her role as President of the Golden Valley Seniors and in organizing the annual fall trips for Ottawa Valley Tours. Betty was a committed volunteer with the Arnprior Hospital Auxiliary and an active member of the Emmanuel Anglican Church Women.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Arnprior Hospital, and the wonderful staff at the Grove Long Term Care Home, for their kind and compassionate care of Betty.

Betty’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior where visitation will be held Tuesday evening, November 11, 2025 from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday morning from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. The funeral service will be held Wednesday November 12, 2025 at the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior at 11:00 a.m. Interment Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. Reception to follow at the Carleton Reid Hall.

In memory of Betty, a donation may be made to the Emmanuel Anglican Church, Arnprior or to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation - The Grove Long Term Care Home.
