In Loving Memory of

Douglas Lyle Rousselle

(1945-2025)

Co-Founder of R&M Truck and Trailer Repairs

(1993)

With extreme sadness the family announces that on Friday, August 15, 2025, in the early morning hours, Doug peacefully passed away at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital at 79 years of age.

Married for 56 years to the love of his life, Carol (Lapierre). Much loved father of Matthew Rousselle (Alexa Chown) and Angela Rousselle. Cherished and forever remembered Grandpa of Noelle Thurston (Ethan), Mack Thurston and Hadley and Léna Rousselle. Dear brother of Debbie Cavanagh (late Ellie) and Denise Rousselle. Predeceased by his sister, Donna Dickson (Rousselle). Special brother-in-law of Tom and Glenna Burnette and Perry and Judy Kilby. Son of the late Raymond and Estelle (Lewis) Rousselle. Also survived and deeply remembered by his nieces and nephews and countless friends.

Doug was passionate about life, which was evident through his hobbies and recreational activities. As a hobbyist woodcarver, he crafted countless creations that are displayed in the homes of many family and friends.

Doug became a member of the Arnprior Fire Department on February 8, 1972 and retired on December 1, 1998, with 26.5 years of service.

Doug was a man of strength and a heart full of love. He was never one to mince words, but was full of warmth and wisdom that made him a trusted confidant.

He has left a void that could never be filled in the lives of those who loved him most. He will be missed.

The family wish to extend heartfelt thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at the Arnprior Hospital, and the Arnprior Community Paramedics for their compassion and care they extended to Doug and his family.

Doug’s final arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care and longtime friendship of the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.
