Carol Joyce Desjardins (née Charbonneau)

December 16, 1942 – June 5, 2025
 

With heavy hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Carol Joyce Desjardins on Thursday June 5, 2025 at her home in Renfrew at the age of 82. The last surviving member of her family, Carol was predeceased by her beloved parents, Edward and Clara (Lamike) Charbonneau, and all her siblings. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and creativity that will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Carol was the devoted wife of John Desjardins, and together they built a beautiful life filled with love and family. She was a cherished mother to Shirley Little (John), Michael Desjardins, Robert Desjardins, and John Desjardins. Her joy extended to her grandchildren: Shawna, Karen, Sonja, Sean, Jaidyn, and Myah and her great-grandchildren: Nolan, Axel, Breyden, Caitrin, Joshua, and Lyam-Jaxon who brought light to her life.

A woman of many talents, Carol had a passion for audio books, jigsaw puzzles, and knitting. Her handmade slippers and legendary dishcloths, loved by all who received them, were a testament to her skill and care. These small but meaningful creations will remain treasured keepsakes for her family.

Carol’s sudden departure has left a void in the lives of those who cared for her deeply. Her memory will be honored by remembering her as she was, a loving, generous, and vibrant soul who touched everyone with her kindness.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to a charity close to your heart in Carol’s memory.
