Obituary of Graham Riley
Graham Delmer Riley
It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Graham Delmer Riley at Groves Park Lodge in Renfrew on Monday, April 28, 2025, at the age of 89. Beloved husband of the late Edythe Riley (nee Craig). Loving father of Bren Riley and cherished grandfather of Deanna Riley (Carl). Dear brother of Muriel Booth (late Garnet) and Kathleen Malloch (late Grant) and Joy Horner (late Bill), all of Arnprior. Graham was predeceased by his brothers Emerson Riley (late Doris) and Larry. Son of the late Thomas and Christina (Doherty) Riley.
Born on September 8, 1935, Graham grew up in a close-knit family, instilled with a sense of resilience and determination. As a highly skilled industrial millwright, he forged a distinguished career at Boeing Canada, where his technical expertise, precision, and commitment to excellence earned him the respect of colleagues and supervisors alike. His work at Boeing was more than a job; it was a testament to his ability to solve complex problems and contribute to the success of a leading industry. Beyond his career at Boeing, Graham’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to establish and operate a monument company, where he applied his meticulous craftsmanship to create lasting memorials. This venture highlighted his versatility and business acumen, and true dedication to providing for his family. He was also a long-time member of the Madawaska Masonic Lodge #196.
In his quieter moments, Graham found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a keen appreciation for the outdoors, often spending time reflecting in nature or tending to projects that allowed him to work with his hands. His practical, hands-on approach extended to his hobbies, where he took pride in fixing, building, and creating. Graham’s legacy is one of perseverance, kindness, and a deep commitment to those he loved.
Graham’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A private interment will be held at Arnprior Albert Street Cemetery. In memory of Graham, a donation may be made to a charity of your choice.
