Obituary of Edna Baird

Edna Elizabeth Baird (Munro), formerly of Kinburn, passed away peacefully at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, surrounded by family, on Monday, April 21, 2025, at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Gordon Wesley Baird Sr., with whom she shared 64 years of marriage.

Predeceased by her parents, William and Beatrice (Baird) Munro, and her brothers Donald (Ruby) and Harold (Marjorie). She was the dearly loved mother of Gordie, Janet (John Radisch), and Harold (Ann). Proud grandmother of Jason, Cory (Marhlee), Ben (Katie), Johanna, David (Erika), Robert (Geneiagh), and Thomas (Meaghan). Grandma Edna to her beloved great-grandchildren Felix, Parker, Jacob, Alex, Sawyer, Clayton, Emily, Audrey, and Phoebe. Aunt Edna to many nieces and nephews, and sister-in-law to Margaret Munro.

Her selflessness, kindness, and quiet service to others defined her. Always putting others first, she lived her faith through acts of care and compassion, showing love and devotion to those around her. The family expresses their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Island View Retirement Residence for their care and support during the past seven years.

Private interment took place at Diamond Cemetery, Kinburn.
