Obituary of Alexander "Alex" Paquette
Alexander JE Paquette
December 9, 1965 – March 20, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and unwavering love that we announce the passing of Alex, who left us peacefully, on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Ottawa. After a bold and inspiring battle with Leukemia, Alex departed at the age of 59. He was the devoted husband and rock to Jennifer Paquette, and an extraordinary father to Christopher Darch-Wills (Natasha) of Greenwood, Nova Scotia, Melissa Buck (Jordan) of Sault Ste. Marie, and Kevin Paquette (Brittany) of McNab-Braeside. Alex’s heart belonged to his grandchildren—Grace Paquette, Anastacia Wills, Jaxon Paquette, Karter Paquette, Aurora Wills-Darch, and Marion Buck—all of whom he adored beyond measure. He was a steadfast brother to Michael Paquette (Elizabeth) of Cardinal and James Paquette of Ottawa, and the cherished son of the late Albert Robert and Claudette (Chevrier) Paquette.
Alex began a recent career as a travel agent, fueled by a love for travel and worked for NAPA in Renfrew. As a man who put family first, he cherished moments with his children and grandchildren and was extremely proud of them all. He loved with a depth that words can only hope to touch. He always looked forward to spring, for camp season to sit by the fire and play poker.
Alex’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior where a memorial service to honor his life will take place on Saturday, March 29, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.—a moment to celebrate the man who meant everything to so many. He will be greatly missed.
