Obituary of Orville Tinsley

Orville Howard Tinsley

May 12, 1940 – March 19, 2025

Orville Howard Tinsley of Arnprior, formerly of Pakenham, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital at the age of 84. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Tinsley (née David) and the proud father of Tom Tinsley (Lorraine) of Burnstown. He was predeceased by his son Kevin. A cherished grandfather, he leaves behind James and Melissa Tinsley. Orville was also predeceased by his sisters, Marlene Green (late Doug) and Ada Anderson (late Harvey), and was the son of the late Joseph and Nellie (Kingham) Tinsley. Orville was a farmer through and through, when he wasn’t tending the fields, he could be found behind the wheel for Carleton Bus Lines, steering with the same steady hand he brought to everything else. He wasn’t one for fanfare, but he had a way of making you feel seen—whether with a quick nod or a story told over a cup of coffee. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Personal Support Workers who cared for Orville with kindness and treated him like one of their own. Orville’s arrangements have been entrusted to the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior. A private family graveside service will be held at St. Mark’s Anglican Cemetery in the spring. In memory of Orville, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Assisted Living.
