Obituary of Margaret Stuckey

(nee Douglas)

May 5, 1929 – January 27, 2025

Our hearts are saddened to announce that our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister Margaret Stuckey of Fitzroy Harbour passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at the Arnprior and District Memorial Hospital, on Monday January 27, 2025 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Robert “Bob” Stuckey. (1997). Loving mother of Susan Morency (Dave) of Fitzroy Harbour, Charles “Chuck” (Linda) of Port Elgin and Richard (Judy) of Lindsay. Cherished grandmother of Victoria Emerson (Joe), Michael, Lucas and Zachary and great-grandmother of Nora and Alannah Emerson. Dear sister of Lorna Kelly (late Olin) of Arnprior. Predeceased by her siblings Eileen Pennock (late Eldon), Erin Craig (Jack), Ollie Douglas, Jack Douglas (Phyllis) and Heather Cavanagh (Delmer). She will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Margaret was born in Ireland to her late parents James and Nora (Mullin) Douglas. Margaret’s arrangements have been entrusted into the care of the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior where visitation will take place Friday evening, January 31, 2025 from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and after 10:00 a.m. Saturday February 1, 2025 until the time of funeral service in the Boyce Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Reception to follow at the Boyce Reception Centre. Interment at Fairview Cemetery, Niagara Falls, Ontario on Saturday February 8, 2025 at 1:00 p.m., where Margaret will be laid to rest with her beloved husband. In memory of Margaret, a donation may be made to the Arnprior Regional Health Foundation or to a charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the doctors and nursing staff of the Arnprior Hospital for their care and compassion.
