Dear George, I am deeply sadden to hear of Robert's passing. You both were good friends to me during my years in Fitzroy. I have many fond memories of time spent with your family, hanging out at school and after, getting into a little trouble once in awhile. Robert was like a big brother to me. I remember him and Bruce making sure I did not get into too much trouble during my teen years. With fond memories and deepest heartfelt sympathy on your loss. Pauline (Sawyer).

When we met I was truly amazed at the size of a man with such kidness, A true gentle giant was standing infront me with a smile that lit me up ,not to mention you had on the coolest pair of sneakers I had ever seen! As you came to find out I too had a thing for cool shoes and things of sport to keep fit! Some time passed between our lives before seeing echother again but when the news came from my fatner that cousin Robert was coming to stay with us I was filled with a deep feeling of happiness that the coolest gentle giant was coming to live with us! In true fassion without disappointment you returned with that big smile the newest shoes , devices and still towering over me 50 years old but fit as could be. I will always remember you Robert as some who never judged me for being myself always encouraging me to stand up for what I believed in and to not back down from things in life that try to take happiness from you. So many laughs dinners out with dad shared together I will truly miss. Just know over the years I always asked how you were getting along. So many years apart in age and yet we shared alot of the same tastes in music fitness and life. Your parents and family beside mine throughout have always been so kind to me and so thoughtful never missing my birthday with blessings in cards and gifts. My prayers and my thoughts are with you I always remember you as the gentle giant that stood over me always feeling protection and guidance in your presence! You wil always remain in my heart and soul with unconditional love Robert ❤

An ADHS student, athlete, Fitzroy Valley Lad has moved to a better place.
In Celebration of the Life of Robert Dolan.
Bob Dolan has passed away
He is in a peaceful place
Where there is no time
His pain is no longer alive
We could feel it coming
But we never thought it would
He was considerate and kind
To the very last day
He did not want to inconvenience anyone
His close circle gathered in love
To say goodbye
Its enough to make you cry
Until you run dry
You always paid your way
You always paid your bills
You always paid your dues
Now you can fly like an eagle
On a rising wind.
Goodbye Bob.
You were a good friend.
Note: Bob had a world class collection of finger nail tools. His favourite of which was a clipper design that included a thin silver file to clean under the nails. Very important.
