Obituary of Madeleine Thompson

(nee Gervais)      

June 14, 1946—July 28, 2017

After a brief battle with cancer, surrounded by her sister Anne-Marie Lodge and her step-daughter Linda McCann, Madeleine passed peacefully to walk the beaches with her beloved husband.  Predeceased by her husband Jack Rae Thompson (Martha Gordon) and godmother Dolly Rush, daughter of Henry Gervais and Annie Snow, sister to Anne-Marie Lodge and Louise Prytula (Mike), step-mother to Linda McCann (Thompson), predeceased by brother Charles Gervais (Connie), aunt to Christopher, Peter and Julie Gervais (Young), Karen, Jeffery and Lori Prytula (Arbuckle), Brian Lodge and Clifford Thompson (Bobbie), great aunt to Justin, Taylor, Charlie, Joshua, Wesley, Melissa and Jenna. Mad will be dearly missed by her close friends Lois Hicke, Brenda and Peter Hartwick, and Roseanna and Robert Salter and many others. We will miss her humour, rolling eyes and helpful spirit. Mad loved to fish, walk the beach and dance with the love of her life, Rae. Arrangements by the Boyce Funeral Home Ltd., 138 Daniel Street N., Arnprior.  Private interment at Arnprior Malloch Road Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday August 6th, 2017 at Madawaska Place, 61 Jack Crescent, Arnprior at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to Renfrew Hospice or the hospice of your choice in memory of Mad.
