Obituary of Clifford William "Bill" Cotter

Cotter, Clifford William George “Bill” May 24, 1933-April 17, 2016 Passed away at home with Joan by his side, Sunday April 17, 2016. Bill Cotter of Kinburn at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Joan (Hollinsworth) Cotter. Much loved father of Kathleen Gleeson (Tad Head) of Sarnia, Susan Cotter (John Struthers) of Carp and David Cotter (Linda Croteau) of Dunrobin. Adored Grandfather of William Nelson (Amy Elliott) and Patrick Gleeson. Cherished Great Grandfather of Sadie Nelson and sadly missed by best friends, Jack and Darragh. Bill was the son of Clifford and Marguerite (McClelland) Cotter of Ottawa. Bill was an entrepreneur and was the owner of Cotter's Auto Shop, Cotter's Excavating and also farmed with his wife Joan. Bill was known for his mechanical abilities and restoration carpentry skills. He enjoyed riding his Harley motor cycle and showing his '56 custom Ford pickup. He was the "Oldest Riding Member" of the Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle Club. Visitations at the Boyce Funeral Home, Chapel, Visitation and Reception Centre Thursday April 21, 2016 from 2-4 p.m. and from 7-8 p.m. until time of Memorial Service in the Boyce Chapel at 8:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Leo Hughes officiating. Interment Diamondview Cemetery, Kinburn at a later date. In memorium, donations may be made to the Canadian Pulmonary Research Foundation.
